Connecting with Your Cultural Community

How do I meet people in my community who speak the same language as me or are from the same cultural group?

Many bigger cities in Ontario have organizations for different cultural groups. Here are some suggestions for finding them:

Google “Cultural Association” and include the name of the city where you live and the name of the cultural group you belong to.

Contact the Centre for Refugee Children or another migrant organization in your city that can help you find a cultural community.

If you belong to a certain religion, you can look for a mosque, temple, gurdwara, church or other religious place in your city.

Some religious or cultural organizations might have youth groups or clubs you can join to meet other youth.
